All Alone...

I was all alone
Sea waves touching my feet

I was all alone
an ocean relaxing in front of me
beautiful and feminine

I was all alone
serene skies with no limits
brightest clouds, scattered throughout
migrating birds, thousands of them, passing by

I was all alone
sea shells, scattered
making a pattern on the beach
giving me company

I was all alone
thoughts rushing
in one aspect, in one direction
letting heart to beat fast

I was all alone
missing her smile
her touch and her stare

I was all alone,
Sweet, I was all alone...

Twinkle...

“These days your number of calls had reduced” She said in a grinned voice while resting her head on his chest. She tightened her grip around him. A deep sigh followed.

He was still reading the messages unread from his blackberry.

“You don’t even keep my messages in your mobile. Earlier you used to keep all my lovey-dovey messages send by me. Nowadays since I am always available with you, you don’t even recognize my existence.”

He kept the mobile aside. Looked at her and winked. “It doesn’t mean that my love for you has ceased.”

“No, I am not saying that. But earlier I was there always in your words, deeds and everywhere. When we used to be with friends, your eyes followed me. When we used to be on dates, your stares never stopped. But now, after marriage, after so many years..I don’t feel it”

He smiled, his natural smile.

“So you think you are not there in my thoughts and words?”

“mmm…Yeah, atleast I cant see it or feel it. Oh! Am so sad..” She clutched him tightly.

He took her face and stared straight onto her eyes.

“Cant you see the twinkle in my eyes, sweet? “

“mmmm…” lazily she answered. She always loved his eyes.

“That’s you honey; the twinkle.”

The world seemed brighter for her. A gentle smile, a tight hug, Life is a bliss..!!

Small But Joy...

-->
She reached home tired carrying grocery baggages. She remembered she had missed to get the special tea powder for him; one good reason for him to shout. Cursing herself and frustrated she entered the hall.

“Honey, coffee for you?” He was heading towards kitchen.

She threw packages down, went and hugged him from behind, smiling.

Its Her Day...

Nature wakes up early
Flowers and trees are blooming
Everyone brimming with joy

Exotic smell spread around
Sun rose bright in horizon
Bird flocks chirping aloud

I sit here imagining
Her smiling face, beautiful
Glittering with the sun rays

Skies are blue
Breeze is calm
People are rejoicing

She dance, she sings
No wonder, its her birthday..!!

PS : A dedication to someone special..!! Stay smiling..

Damn This World...

I don’t know. I really love spending time with her. If someone asks me why I am attracted to her, I got hundreds of reasons. No other woman had made me feel this way.

Her lips are so pink in color. Every other girl envied this part of hers. There is a talk among guys that nobody else’s lips are as ripe as hers. Perfectly shaped and curved. Looking into those lips itself is a great pleasure. But the best feature in her face is her smile. Her smile had captivated lots of guy’s desires in my class. The way she smiles is something worth watching.

I am very lucky to have her as a friend. I am the one who spends the most time with her in college. She is never attached to anyone else as the way she is to me. But does she know me? Does she understand me or my feelings? Does she that I love her?

I don’t think so.

Yeah, I am in love with her. Her smile, her gentle touch, her chatter, her cribbing, her excitements, her enthusiasm, the way she walks, the way she dances, the way she hum tunes, the way she gets angry, the way she play with kids, the way she handle people, her opinions, her eccentricities and what not.

Yeah, I am in love with her. Her sparkling eyes, her wide smile, her beautiful nose, her protruding lips, her perfectly curved body, her dressing sense, her smell, her voice, her hugs and what not?

Yeah, I am in love with her. But does she know that? She won’t ever realize how much I love her. Even if she realize she won’t understand me. She will never respect my feelings for her, my cravings for her, my desires to be with her, to be pampered by her, to pamper her, to be caressed by her. Never ever I can reveal my desire to spend my whole life with her, to make love with her.

Loving her is becoming a pain. A pain which I can never share with anyone else. Even if I share it will only elevate my pain. Damn this world. Nobody is there to understand to my feelings. Nobody is there to accept my feelings even if they understand.

After all in this society it is a taboo for a woman to have such feelings for other woman.

Damn this world !!

I Wish

I wish to open my eyes
And see you lying next to me

With your arms draped over me
With that naughty smile on your face

I wish, yeah, I wish…

Changed Strategy...

It’s always like this. He had never reached the railway station without all those last minutes hurry ups. When he reached the station the announcements were echoing all over the platform. He checked the list and hurried to the second platform. The train was there ready to leave. It looked like a big python.

Before entering his coach he checked the reservation list which was hanging outside the door. He was delighted to see his name, Anup Tiwari. He looked all around as if his name was there in some national newspaper only to realise that no body was bothered. Laughing at himself, he took his baggage and jumped inside the coach. Suddenly, something pulled him back. He checked the list once again, who all are going to come in his cabin.

Seat Name Age Gender From To
S8-37 Ram Prakash 54 M LTT KKDI
S8-38 Jagadamba Kadam 48 F LTT KKDI
S8-39 Archana Sahoo 34 F LTT RHA
S8-40 Meera Shah 22 F PNVL TCR
S8-41 Rajesh P 37 M RTGI ERS
S8-42 Jagdeesh Pujari 39 M RTGI ERS
S8-43 Anup Tiwari 24 M LTT MDGN
S8-44 Mangal Sahoo 37 M LTT RHA

His eyes then got stuck on one name, Meera, his eyes glinted happiness. But the boarding was after two stations.

He reached his birth, a side lower birth. He kept his baggage beneath the seat and settled. His eyes scanned all the passengers in that cabin. Next to him there was a man with a thick moustache, maybe in his mid thirties. ‘How boring it will be to travel 1500 kilometres with this guy’, he thought. An old man was reading a magazine, oblivion to the world outside the train in the platform. The lady who was sitting beside him was looking much younger though, enough to be his daughter or daughter in law. Anup stared at her; she was stacking their baggage here and there. Twelve baggages, he counted. There was a not-so-bad-looking female sitting by the window seat. Wearing a big round bindi on her forehead, she seemed to have befriended solitude for this trip, if not for life long.

He sighed! This trip is going to be boring unless berth number 40 hosts a smart girl. ‘Meera Shah, sounds Gujarati!’ He thought. More than her name it was her age that excited him. Only two year younger to him, he imagined her like a mirage. Various prospective faces of Meera flashed through his mind, together with thoughts involving how to impress her to gain her friendship and flirt with her till destination.

The train started its journey with all its passengers. The sleeper class he was in was almost full. Tea and coffee vendors went here and there shouting their product, serving and collecting money.

“Do you mind to exchange your seat with my wife’s ticket? It’s a window seat.” The husky voice from the moustached man interrupted his imaginations about his yet-to-be-befriended friend Meera. “Yeah, no issues”, the answer was quick since this time his brain worked faster than a supercomputer. The tough, rough moustached person was giving an offer to sit near berth number 40, Meera’s seat. He wanted to jump with joy. Recalling the award for the best actor in his school days, he made a so-so face in front of him. He exchanged the seat and watched the couple sitting together in the side berth. “Happy for you, I will somehow manage over here’ was the expression on his face. He only knows there was huge crackling joy bursting inside him.

When the train slowed down at panvel he took a position nearby the door. Each passenger entering and exiting were under his eagle eyes but no one cleared the criteria of a 22 year old beautiful lady with all those womanly features to the perfect as he had imagined. Suddenly a face caught his attention. Wheat colour face, black, straight and silky hair, she wore a beautiful smile. Her eyes were green which excited him and her lips were rose in colour, wide and full! The ear brows were perfectly shaped and the nose ring adorned her totally. Wearing jeans with a pearl white shirt, she was nothing less than a movie actress. She was far above from what he imagined. ‘The entire trip is going to rock!’ he thought. Flirting which is his forte is going to be the main weapon.

That is when he saw something odd; something he missed because of his excitement. A kid, maybe in his second year after birth, trying to tug at his mothers arm. Before the train started moving she raised the kid and placed him on her hips. Both waved to those who came to see off them. After few seconds she took her luggage and headed inside to settle in her berth.

Anup stood there standstill.
“Strategies should be changed” he thought with a grin.

Alarm..

She lie down there besides her phone meanwhile the clock alarmed her the time.
The mobile buzzed aloud, which eventually went into Snooze mode. She held the mobile in her hand. Though half sleepy, she was staring at the mobile with her half opened eyes. She felt as if her eyelids were glued to each other.

Five minutes passed by. The mobile buzzed again. She checked the screen. “Time to wake up”, the remainder read. She kept the phone on the table besides her bed.

Two seconds, the mobile buzzed again. It was a ring tone.
She took the mobile, this time with a smile on her lips.
“Good morning”, she said lazily, yet shying herself away.
Her eyes still closed, she came out the blanket and headed towards the bathroom

The mobile was sandwiched between her shoulder and her ears.
She is routine to that call of his.
Her Alarm!!

********************************************************

He stops the alarm in the time piece. He dozes off again. The mobile alarm cries. Cursing the time he checks the mobile. “Call her”, the message read. He gets the mobile and slips into the blanket. Lazily, he dials the speed dial number. Before the second ring someone answered from the other side. A sweet good morning came from the mobile. “Yeah, good morning honey. Get up and study for your exam”. In two minutes he hanged up the phone. And he never bothered to keep the mobile back. It was so comfortable to be inside a blanket, that too during these winter mornings.

Circus.....

“Lets go for circus.” when he said that she couldn’t believe. She sat like that only. Didn’t raise her head nor did react. She knew he was trying to cheer her up. It’s almost two weeks that she expressed her desire to watch the circus. He not only discarded the plea but got irritated blaming it to be a silly thing to do.

“Circus is meant for kids” he first said. He never was ready to come out of his prejudistic notions.
She could very well remember that day. It was really very hectic day for her and in the evening when he came she told him about her friends had been visited the new circus in town. She was ten when she went to see the circus for the first time. That day she really was in heaven seeing all horses, elephants and monkeys doing various tricks and playing games. When she saw dogs playing soccer inside the ring she couldn’t help anything but to keep her eyes wide open. The intermittent entry by the jokers made her laugh like anything. All she told to him. He was listening to her. She thought this is a chance

“Shall we go this weekend?” she waited for his reply. He didn’t say anything. He was looking at the traffic on road and thinking something. Normally he don’t like keeping on asking something. That she knows very well. But since she was very much excited about the circus she dared to ask again.

“I asked something. Can we?” He looked at her. “It’s for kids. And not only that I don’t have time too.” He turned his face towards the street back. “But….” She didn’t complete. He gave a stare that stopped her tongue from throwing anymore comments. She knows he is getting irritated. She had hoped for this kind of behavior only. She is also like that. Keeps on asking him every time.

It’s almost a week back. Now she can’t believe actually he had asked her whether to go for the circus. She had cleared the wish that day itself when he answered back with a cold stare.

“Are you serious?” She asked with a tincture of disbelief. He was standing in aloof. Yesterday they had a big argument followed by a fight on phone. She knew he will do something to make up with her. She expected a hot cup of coffee in the coffee shop or just fried Jilebi from the road side stall. He knew her tastes. Bu this question was totally unexpected. “Are you?” She repeated. He didn’t look at her. He never does when he does things like this. It seems he never want to show he cares for her. He kick started the bike and looked at her with a covering smile. She couldn’t stop her laughter. She sat on the bike. “Let’s go.”

She was still laughing. And that’s what he wanted also.

Smiley...

Beep. Beep..

I took the mobile. A smile flowered on my face. Whenever I see her name on my mobile I smile. Went to the inbox where it read, “Happy friendship day, if you were to dedicate me one song which one you would have been.” Found very funny. Kept my phone aside. Stupid silly girl! Continued with my reading.

But couldn’t concentrate anymore in that book. She was smiling at me and asking “which song?” I picked up the phone and replied back. Within seconds got a bunch of smilies. Nice she would have felt. And now I am feeling very nice. Long live friendship!!

Ban on mobiles......Reminds me...

.
Kerala Government had ordered an ordinance to ban usage of mobile phones in Campus, reports Hindu.
The latest trendsetter, mobile camera phone, is always in limelight since its launch. Be it new model launch or be it MMS scandals. It became common household equipment in cities throughout.

The ban of mobile phones in campus reminded me one of the incidents that happened in my college. Let me tell you this is a second hand report.

All the students were getting bored with his lecture. Not only that day. His each and every lecture never ignited that urge to learn that subject. As a professor he was a total failure, but was able to stick to his post just because of some high management holds he had over they’re in college. That might be the reason; even students feared he could do a lot with their internal marks if not attend his lectures.

So all were busy checking their dials and waiting for him to disperse the class. But he was not in mood to free the birds. Dictating from the notes he had brought in a file format he was continuing his ‘lecture.’

Suddenly somebody’s mobile rang. It was a Hindi song ring tone. Everyone’s attention went to the corner of the class and smiled at the owner of the source. He was busy fiddling with the instrument trying to reduce the volume. {Later only came to know that one of his friend only kept it in high volume profile and gave him a ring.} Seeing his embarrassment all other fellows broke their laugh’s.

"Silence", Prof. took his eyes from his notes and peeped through his spectacles. Everyone turned on to silent mode and the professor towards the board with file in his hand. {We always used to wonder how would have he taught us if we had abandoned those files.} Students again got relieved and started hissings.

It was not even five minutes after the incident, some other person’s mobile buzzed aloud. This time he could control in a second or two, but the crowd went ablaze with laughter. Cursing the caller, the guy changed the profile to vibratory mode. The Prof. though disturbed continued his drawings on board, copying from his file. In a minute a third mobile started screaming. Everyone broke into a louder laughter. This time Sir got frustrated. He turned around and stared at the culprit.

"Is this the decency you have learnt from home. {A gap. Students stopped laughing.} Don’t you know that you are supposed to switch off the mobiles while entering a class? Don’t remember that you are going to be engineers and lots of good manners are expected from you people. {Everyone started looking down. Some were still in playing mood.} You are not going to gain anything by disturbing me in my procedure to teach you. {Everyone looked each other startled as if not understanding what he was saying.} Don’t repeat this anymore. If continued I have to take strict action against you. Whoever it might be. So please switch off your instruments." He was shouting at the pinnacle of his voice.

Everyone switched off his or her instruments. Some were asking quietly, "which instrument", with a naughty smile on their face. The situation was very silent. Prof. once again covered the whole class with his deadly stare {which was supposed to generate fear} and turned towards the black board and started scribbling some notes.

Students were impatiently waiting for the hourly bell to ring, looking intermittently their dials. Prof. busy is copying his notes on board. All of a sudden some mobile rang in high volume. Annoyed, Prof. turned back, "who the hell haven’t switched off the mobile? I am going to report this." He was very furious.

All students chorused, "Sir SWITCH OFF YOUR CELL. IT’S ON YOUR TABLE." Class turned out to laugh more lauder. This time they couldn’t control their laughter. Some were humming to the ring tone.

By the mean time Prof. picked up the phone and was trying to hide his embarrassment.
